  24. I'm not familiar with the Oktagon controller.  What type is it SCSI, 
  25. proprietary?  It may be a problem with yu controller software.  It should 
  26. recognize it as a logical device, so you shoulb be able to check its 
  27. contents either by the dir command in a shell or by whatever workbench 
  28. software yyou use (SID, Direcory Opus or whatever)  I also don't know if 
  29. amiback requires the tapes to be formatted.  Sometimes, even though the 
  30. archive software may not require formatted media, it has to be formatted 
  31. for the sytem to recognize its existance.
